Rescue Dogs.

When an individual or family decides that they want to get a dog, one source that they may explore first is the local rescue centre. There is an undeniable appeal to the idea of giving a loving home to an animal that may have been neglected or mistreated and thereby be instrumental in its successful rehabilitation.

Some dogs that are taken in by rescue kennels, may have developed difficult, behavioural traits that their owners did not understand, or have the experience to deal with successfully. These problems may eventually result in the painful decision to take the dog to the rescue centre. Something needs to be done to prevent this from becoming a repetitive scenario, with each subsequent placement compounding the dog's anxiety.

If you have a rescue dog and this state of affairs sounds familiar to you, then PURE Dog Listening can help. It gives you the means to create a settled environment for your dog, in which it is freed from the stress and pressure of leadership decisions. Once this has been established, you can begin to work on the behaviour problems, with the knowledge that there is continued support to help you through the slow, but rewarding, process of rehabilitation.
